Travelling with a motorhome and two kids.

Campsite was ok, in the middle of a residential area. Great showers (strong, hot, unlimited), huge lounge, a small playground (a bit dated), private motorhome sites (with bushes and trees between them). Swimmingpool and sauna were closed. Unfortunately missed the view on the volcano due to bad weather.

The bed was out dated, it rocked every time one of us moved slightly.

The towels had brown stains in them. No face cloth provided. The spa has no ventilation, and to much cloride. The table has rusty, and the caboards were dirty and swollen.

we stayed here in october 2015 and came here after a long drive over the forgotten world highway.

    Hi Folks,

The staff is very friendly and a pool is existing. The places were paved, but relatively small. The facilities are as expected for a Top Ten Holiday Park. Though it is laid right in the suburb, the costal walk and the bridge invite for a stroll. Whats missing is the view and some space. The kids had fun.

    Cheers.

Good facilities, but the draw is unobstructed view of the ocean from the sites on the bluff.

And it's right on a kilometers-long path that skirts the ocean.

    Booked online, last minute.

Was sold a corner powered site for 2 nights, for $75 per night. Pricy but ok, it was a busy time of the year. First night no problem, then we drove off for the day, returning at 7pm. There were more people camping so we couldn't access the site without the campers dismantling their tent. The site measures 5m x 4m and can't be accessed by campervan if there is anyone else there. Spoke to staff who said they had no other site available and they offered us a $20 discount... but we couldn't access the site. All the sites at this campground are small, but this one is ridiculous. Only recommended as a total last resort.

The Amazing 40 minute walk or Bike ride along the coastal walkway into the city watching the surf & sea is what many enjoy about New Plymouth. Its a 7minute walk to Local Cafe & Restaurants & shops. Come & See for yourselves
