Welcome to Otorohanga Kiwi Holiday Park

Otorohanga Kiwi Holiday Park has a range of accommodation options, from fully self-contained units to campsites. Large bus and campervan sites with easy access.

The camping ground facilities include unmetered showers, large indoor/outdoor dining room with FREE BBQ, TV lounge, Sky TV, Wireless internet, and children's playground. Walking distance to the town's shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. You'll find our Waitomo accommodation just 45 minutes south of Hamilton City with the famous Hamilton Gardens and Balloons over Hamilton, or a 50 minute drive to Kawhia beach.

Otorohanga Holiday Park is also pet-friendly. The only accommodation and camping for your pet in the Waitomo and Otorohanga area. Rules for owners to apply.

Otorohanga Kiwi Holiday Park is the closest Holiday Park to the CBD. Enjoy a leisurely stroll to town facilities, through the neighbouring lake reserve.

We are a family owned and operated holiday park and have enjoyed extending nature through out our grounds. Starting with bare land over 23 years ago, nature was utmost important in our design. The 20 year old trees are now the benefit of guests, to enjoy plenty of shade in the summer and shelter in the winter. Enjoy the chatter of birds in the evenings and mornings. Explore the glow worms and adventure caving at Waitomo and see our native birds, kiwi at the nocturnal breading sanctuary in Otorohanga. Our park continues to grow, so keep watching for our new developments continually happening.

We are loving our rainy weekend stay in our caravan.

I love the sounds of the passing trains. The tepid salt water swimming pool was devine this afternoon, we had such fun. We had a warm welcome and the online check in system is easy to use. Close to town. Lovely facilities

    Beautiful place to stay.

I was in a tent and enjoyed the lovely surroundings in the park. Self check in was easy to do and the receipt prints out the code to get you through the gate barrier. I always sleep well, so I didn't get disturb by noise but it was a Sunday evening so it may have been a quieter night. It is easy to get to the high street and pick up some supplies from the supermarket, which was open until 9pm.

Had a great 2 Night stay here, visiting the Waitomo caves and relaxing by the pool.

Staff was super Nice and very helpful. The fascilities were dated but clean and the showers were great. The Campsite is located between the train tracks and an industrial road with quite alot of traffic noise (Big trucks etc). Also one if the kitchens were pretty infected with ants. This pulls My review down to 8, because over all I really enjoyed My stay there and would recommend it

Yes, trains go past, but its not as loud as you'd think. But I love trains so even if they were louder, I would have loved it.

Just a nice, friendly, relaxing place to stay, with friendly people :)

DON'T come here if you are in a TENT, you won't sleep among trucks, trains, cars and the sawmill which is operating until 11pm and open at 4am !!!

Camp lightened all night which does not help... AWFUL.

Facilities very good despite weak wifi. Reception very helpful and gives you real tricks to escape commercial turism.

If you’re in a tent avoid this place.

Right by a main road with trucks accelerating past out of the town all night and in plain view of floodlights. So awful. Facilities were ok. Internet was only 30 mins free then you had to pay.

    Friendly site with good facilities.

We were going to stay at Waitomo but decided it would be nice to be near to a normal town instead of a tourist attraction. We were not disappointed. We walked across the railway line on the way in but came back via the road. We didn't notice any road noise and thought the price was reasonable. Toilets, showers and kitchen clean and well equipped. Oscar the cat was beautiful and friendly, we observed the don't feed him rule!

The office is open until 8:30pm if you need to book late.

We were here for New Year! People from camping did lots of fireworks!! Facilities very clean and tidy. Fridge with freezer in the kitchen. We were the only ones in a tent and maybe 6 campervans. Big open grass space. Trampoline and play area for kids. 24hour gym (fees apply) if you want access. It cost us $55 for 2 adults and 2 kids age 2 and 4 unpowered site. You will need footwear at all times as the grass is thorny. Located right in town and right beside a train track. Be careful on your way out as the speed bump almost broke our car in half... friendly people on site.

Located between a railway and a heavy traffic/truck by-pass for town, you now and then shaking in your car.

At the rear and of this campground is a laundry for local users as well as a fitniss center mainly for local users. Open 24 hours a day !!! Where other campgrounds expect and respect a 10pm - 7am quiet-rule this campground allows 24 hours through-traffic on their site for mainly local users!!! Why not open entry at rear end of campground for local users?

However campground itself is a 10/10. Well designed spacious ground and everything looks brand new, clean. Just great facilities.

I had a self contain unit.

The unit was very clean and had everything I needed. Lovely tidy and well set out grounds, and very friendly hosts. Although I didn't have any kids with me, this would be a great place for the kids as there is plenty of safe space for them to run around. Thanks to Kelvin and Billie for having such a lovely park. The only downside would be if you are a smoker as they prefer smoking only within a particular area rather than outside your unit (however from a family (with kids) holiday point of view, I can also totally understand this). If you do stay here, you wont be disappointed. The trains never bothered me at all.

We could not fault the camp's cleanliness at all or the facilities on offer however the reception we received when we arrived was a bit grumpy and the camp rules and signage were a bit abrupt and almost

rude I have seen more delicate rule lists on my tour. The park is very close to a railway which seemed to operate well into the night and was fairly loud. The wi-fi internet was extortionate compared to every other site we have been on - $22 for 24 hours compared to approx $5 - $7 elsewhere.

This park was ok had some good facilities and was a good price, had a couple of old caravans with broken windows on site which let the place down alot!

most of the extra facilities cost extra which is understandable but perhaps adjust the price of the stay slightly and get extras included in the price? staff were helpful. seemed to be alot of strange rules on back of the site map like "appropriate dress around the park at all times"

The only extra cost involved at our place is the use of the Fully Equiped Fitness facility at $5.00 and you can have the use of the facility as often as you like. Showers (with NO timers) are included in the tariff plus the BBQ is FREE. I do understand that unless you are use to using Fitness facilities then you possibly are unaware of the usual cost of a casual workout. I also think you must have our facility mixed up with another park as we don't have a rule about "appropriate dress"
