We were first timers w camper and this was our first stop after arriving in Auckland.

It was not too far to drive from the airport, quiet and tidy, had some activities for the kids but mostly peaceful in a country like area. Really nice showers and bathrooms! Very friendly staff!! Felt very safe! If you are stopping here after AKL make sure to pick up food and provisions before you get here there's reeeeally not much in the store. My kid got nervous about the amoeba warning on the mineral pools (which is pretty much on every mineral/thermal pool we saw in NZ) so we did only dipped our feet but it looked very nice. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

Great night for a first night out of Auckland.

Within an hour and a bit from the airport and an easy drive. Hosts nice facilities excellent. Potentially quiet time could be an idea here as so many kids (which is fine it’s a holiday park in school holidays) but they kept the party going late! As per usual in NZ-2 for 10am check out then +1 again because the guy at the desk let us stay a bit later. Come on guys global standard now is 12 noon in hotels much less a strip of grass! Would happily stay again!

Plenty of space available for last minute bookings in the winter!

Stayed here at a powered site on our last night before heading back to Auckland- about an hour back to the airport. Really nice and clean facilities plus wifi! Best part was the hot springs on site included in the price!

Such a great free camp spot!

Nice walk to the bird sanctuary and beautiful views over to the Coromandel. Sunrises and worth the stay alone!

One of our favourite places to stay on our NZ road trip!

Only stayed here bcs there was nowhere in Thames that wd take us with our dog.

The most expensive camp we stayed in, at $60 for the powered site. Great facility for the dog, with each site behind a gate. But only 2 toilets & 1 shower unlocked for the entire far end - nowhere near enough. Not the camp's fault, but we had to put up with loads of screaming, yelling , skateboarding kids right up till 10pm. Wdnt rush back here again.

Best place to stay and best people ever.

We were stuck because of the lock down. Many places closed not so Miranda Holiday Park. They gave refugee to many stranded tourists.

These kind people did everything they can to make us feel good and at home in this crazy times.

Also the facilities are great, big and fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom wit hot shower and hair dryer, washing maschines, everything neat und clean, mini golf, natural hot pool, table tennis, tennis, lot of space for walks ...

Just great. Thank you for all the hard work you did for us and make us feel home when we were all stressed.

We recently stayed 2 nights with a group of friends - 6 sites in total.

Was great as we were grouped together. Our sites were large and well located. Loved the pool, playground, mini golf and bike track. They are building a new ablutions block which will be great. Kitchen, toilets and showers all clean and spacious. Have booked again for NYE 20/21

Very nice campsite that offers everything you may or may not need - it is a little pricy though (I paid NZD 28.50 for just myself, a bike and tent), but considering the large and well equipped kitchen

, clean bathrooms and Hot Springs I think the price is ok. You do have to pay for WiFi (NZD 2 for 250 MB).

Busy and expensive, but excellent, clean, well-maintained facilities and the hot pool is excellent.

Not our cup of tea, but served our purpose (powered site to recharge stuff, dump site and fresh water) and we could see why it's so popular.

Only downside was WIFI not free, it cost another €5. Would certainly go again.

Most expensive site in 7 weeks touring the country.

Very good facilities and clearly well running and popular. $28 for a rooftop tent for 1 night was rediculous I though but end of a long day..... if you're self contained & don't need much for the night just drive a few ks north and there's a great spot on the shore just past the bird spotting/sanctuary - much better in my humble opinion.

Our family arrived on a Friday to Auckland International Airport, and we rent a motorhome to travel around NZ.

Our first night and the last night of the trip we stayed at Miranda Holiday Park. Such an excellent way to start or finish our journey. This place has all the necessary accommodation for travelers and motorhomes, and even have access to the hot spring pool early day and late night. This place was one of the highlights of our trip to NZ.
