    A great place to stay.

Very welcoming at the front desk. The cabins range in sizes according to your needs. Clean and tidy large kitchen well equipped with frigs freezers pantries crockery cutlery bbqs etc. Wonderful views of the harbour, Mt Camel, etc. Excellent daily cleaning staff. Fish fileting facility and bait frig. We booked in for 3 nights,.....stayed for over 2 weeks. Enjoyed our stay immensely, the staff catered for our every need.. Caught a fish everyday from the beach. A wonderful place to stay.

It’s nice, and $20 per person for non powered site, so average price.

However come Easter and the facilities were strained. They packed the people in and it became very noisy.

    Pretty average campsite.

Facilities were outdated and small for the amount of campsites available. Could do with a bit of love. Drinking water was questionable.

Lovely spot and very dog friendly

People very friendly and excellent facilities on site.

    Not our cup of tea.

Cramped, lots of permanent camps. If you like socialising or look for kids' activities, this may be for you. If you like peace and quiet, and enjoy some privacy, go elsewhere. We mainly staid as there are no public dumping facilities north of Kaitaia.

    Amazing place for staying.

You just have to take a look at the "locals" inside there for realizing that they really make their best. We've spent 2 nights and it was really really good. The staff so helpful and nice.

    Awesome place to stay.

Clean facilities and heaps of space to fit a lot of people. If you’re after peace and quiet though this isn’t the spot as it gets very busy with lots of kids running around making noise just keep that in mind.

The price is not 15$ (as rankers mentiones) for a non-powered site, but 17$.

Besides that a shower costs 1 dollar (machine doesn't always work properly, had to shake it a couple of times) and the WiFi is not for free!

My opinion is that is is too expensive. The kitchen and shower are clean though, but small and nothing special. I think 15$ with free showers and WiFi would be a better price.

Great place, lovely lady at reception.

Clean, hot showers, nice outdoor BBQ area. Trampoline and playground for the kids, walking distance to the beach. Clean kitchen and only 35$ for 2 adults for a powered site. If you want to see what it looks like, you can watch our video review on youtube, just search the camp site name and 'The Flip Flop Family'
