I'm Marios, delivering the best of Aotearoa's nature walks to your device.
I've personally walked hundreds of New Zealand's tracks and spent months in libraries uncovering interesting information on New Zealand/Aotearoa. And you'll find a slice of that research on this page - enjoy!

This easy forest walk begins across the road from Alpine Guides. The loop track wanders through totara and celery pine forest and has an alternative exit or entry towards Glencoe Lodge.
The easiest stroll around Mount Cook Village. Definite highlight is the push button bird song calls in the forest.
The walk starts from the public shelter near the petrol pumps on Bowen Drive.
There’s a few steps as you negotiate the interior of the mountain toatoa and totara forest. The walk can be linked with the Governors Bush Walk.
This is one of the few areas to still have intact forest.
Since it’s tricky to get to know New Zealand bird calls (you have to hear the call AND see the bird AND identify the bird), DoC have made it really easy. Push the button next to the bird to hear their call. A few technical problems every now and then, but the only place in NZ where this feature is on offer.
