I'm not going to tell you about Kia Ora and the very good reasons for using their services, as others have already done so before me.

I'm not going to tell you about Vicky because we haven't spoken to her yet. I'm not going to tell you about Steeve, or his friendliness, joviality and good-naturedness, or even his openness when it comes to talking about his magnificent country and giving you tips for your itinerary around the South Island. I won't even mention their website, which is very well done and full of information. I won't even mention their very competitive rates. I'm not going to tell you about their responsiveness in responding to you and reassuring you before you arrive in New Zealand to prepare for your trip. I won't mention the fact that you'll be picked up from the airport on your arrival and taken back to the airport on your return. Nor will I tell you about their vehicles, which are functional and well thought out. No, I'll tell you about what was essential for us during our trip from Christchurch: Steve's availability, support, seriousness and empathy during the difficult moments we encountered during our journey. In fact, when you have problems because of the indelicacy of people who have previously hired the vehicle (a three berths motorhome Sprinter) for which you are responsible, Steve was incredibly present to support us and try, from a distance, to solve our problems. It's said that New Zealanders are amazing people, and Steve is the perfect example. For all these reasons, and perhaps others that you'll discover, we highly recommend Kia Ora!

They are really 10 out of 10 rating points !!!

We travelled with Kia Ora Camper for two months in NZ and where very happy about it. As from the beginning, everything went very smooth. When we had a question, Steve and Vicky answered promptly.

All extras, like bedding, towels, GPS, BBQ and extra drivers fee are including, not like other companies, where have to pay for this.

We had to change our plan, when the ferry we booked back to North Island, was broken and all other where full for weeks. We call Steve, and he told us that we can return the Camper in Christchurch. He also organised the transfer to the airport there. Eddie from Auckland Kia Ora organised our luggage and transfered us to the hotel.

We really can highly recommend Steve, Vicky and his team when you need a good Camper in NZ.

When I was looking for a motorhome for 2023, I came across your site by accident, it was my first stroke of luck. Your offer with 2 bicycles had been an unbeatable price up until then, it was the second stroke of luck. Communication via email, all questions were answered promptly.

Dropping off the RV in Christchurch was so easy. The vehicle was in great condition and surprisingly also had a sunroof. The 3 berth Mercedes Nomad drove perfectly.

The return of the camper in Auckland with Eddie was also done quickly and our transfer to the hotel was done right away.

Thank you for the camper and the good cooperation.

We can warmly recommend you to everyone.

Communications with Steve and Vicky the owners/managers of Kia Ora Campers were excellent both before and during the hire.

Any issues were dealt with promptly. The condition of the van and its contents were outstanding in particular in comparison with our previous hire of a motorhome from a large company. We had the van for 9 weeks and the supply of gas and toilet chemicals were easily adequate for the duration. The Mercedes Sprinter van was very easy to drive and the much needed heating was very good.

Our experience with Kia Ora was wonderful.

For the months leading up to our trip, Steve and Vicky always answered our enquiries promptly and accurately and were very friendly and helpful. Steve met us at Christchurch airport and took us quickly to our campervan. He was really friendly and showed us everything about the vehicle. Our Mercedes Nomad was really comfortable and roomy. All we needed was provided, bar clothes and food! It was great to drive and I didn't feel tired of driving , even after 5-hour legs. We had a once-in-a-life-time experience and saw sights from our van which we could never have seen from an hotel. We wouldn't change anything about it. It was worth every penny. Thank you very much.

We had a superb experience with Kia Ora campers.

A clean and reliable 2-berth campervan, and with Vicky and Steve ready and able to respond promptly and efficiently to the occasional query we had about aspects of our campervan experience with them. We were delighted that they matched the price of our rental with that of a lower offer we had received from another company. It's a pity that while COVID-19 impacts on lack of tourists New Zealand, their fleet is solely S.Island based.

Kia Ora Campers were excellent to deal with.

Very easy to contact and very friendly. The van was a new model and in great condition and working order. Picking up and dropping off the van was simple and quick. I highly recommend this company and I would definitely use them again.

We hired from Steve and Vicky at Kia Ora Campers for a three week trip in 2020 coming over from UK.

Correspondence was easy as was the interaction between us and Steve discussing prices and he matched the best price we had as well as including camping chairs, table and BBQ.

Easy pick up and Steve explained things to us as well as showing us the instructional videos. We had hired in UK before so a.good reminder, if you have not hired a campervan before it is best to view these a few times before setting out as there is a procedure to follow and a lot of info at one time.

We hired a 4 berth campervan with lots of space and it paid off for us to enjoy views from the large.picture window in rear, indeed this was our favourite sitting position at campsites and viewpoints for a coffee.

The campervan was relatively easy to drive but it was large to park up in some car parks. We had a problem with leisure battery which had just been changed but this was sorted by the engineer who explained that a safety cut off was set too high and no problem after this (Thanks Steve for prompt response and repair)

Found Steve and Vicky really good to deal with, the van was clean and in good repair, they gave us their good advice and even ran us to airport himself. Thanks Steve and Vicky.

This was our second trip from the UK to New Zealand.

Last time we hired a motorhome from one of the big companies but weren't very impressed with the quality, so searched more thoroughly this time. Kia Ora Campers had really good reviews so we went with them and were not disappointed. The camper was a very good conversion with everything you could need and very well kitted out. All the handbooks for the appliances were there, although inevitably when we wanted to turn the fridge down the handbook referred to every model except ours! However a quick email to Vicki sorted out the problem.

On one campsite we were looking at our grey (waste) water outlet pipe as we'd lost a bit of it somehow and a man came up who was also camping and said he worked part time for Kia Ora and could he help? He fitted a new part wile we were there, so thank you Brian. If we come again, we will definitely use Kia Ora again, many thanks team.

We hired Mercedes Nomad 3 Berth campervan for 2 weeks and we loved the experience.

The campervan was in perfect conditions (everything was working, clean and super easy to use). Steve and Vicky were always available to help us and super friendly with us. I recommend Kia Ora Campers and hiring their campervans worth the money.

We absolutely loved our camper from Kia Ora.

The welcome from Steve was brilliant. He made the pick up so relaxed and easy and we were quickly on our way. The extras like camp chairs and towels and washing up liquid etc all helped make it a great experience. Steve and Vicky were easy to contact and helpful whenever required.... not that we needed much help as all the info we needed was included in the van. We would love to return to NZ and would definitely head straight back to Kia Ora and rent the van for even longer..... we didn't want to hand it back after 3 lovely weeks.

Steve and Vicki of Kia Ora Campers were great.

They met us and explained everything to us on how to work everything in the camper van. All we needed was provided down to the last detail. They were great communicators whenever we had questions. The camper van was great. We did not have any problems. Would highly recommend them to any of our friends or family who would like to do the same thing.

We rented a camper from Kia Ora campers for 19 days over the Christmas and New year period and the service, the camper and the experience could not have been better!

The guys at Kia Ora were extremely friendly and helpful, at initial inquiry and booking stage and when sorting some minor changes and issues when returning the vehicle. The camper itself was in great condition, very modern, well equipped and clean. All in all a 5 star recommendation from us.

We had a nearly perfect experience with Kia Ora campers over 18 days on the south island of New Zealand.

We had a Mercedes Nomad 3 berth and the van was great for our adventure. It was reliable, well maintained, and had wonderful amenities. Even though we had an issue at the start with our rear battery, it was resolved quickly and without any issues after this. Highly recommend this boutique company and thanks to Steve for all his help! Last but not least, Rankers is the best!
