Very quiet and dark in comparison to other Auckland Free Camping spaces.

Very bumpy parking lot, but we managed to find an even space.

There was a ton of waste all around. There are toilets, but the lights don't work - better bring a flashlight ;)

Security came around 8pm and asked us if we would like the gates closed. We said yes, as there would be no other cars around (there was a bit of traffic before that with some cars coming and goung, others staying for longer)... gates were opened again at 5:30am.

Seems like a bit of a weird place.

People parking and sitting in their cars for an hour or two then driving off. Never had anything dangerous happen but it felt a bit off.

    Toilets and rubbish bins.

Seems to be a bit of confusion over the freedom camping bylaw here.

Security car came around 9pm to lock gates and asked us and the other camper van here to leave, said he didn’t know anything about it being a freedom camping area. We showed him the council website and pdf stating it was so he let us stay and locked the gates.

Random man came calling at my sister and I and knocking on the window at around 730am.

    Probably won’t stay here again.
