Our Marae is the ancestral home of the East Coast hapu of Te Whanau a Hinerupe and Te Whanau a Tuwhakairiora. With its root seeped in culture and community, our Marae is our Tūrangawaewae – a place to stand where we feel strong and at home.
We welcome guests from far and wide to immerse themselves into Māori culture and history, at the first place in the world to see the sunrise.
