Booking with Travel NZ was super simple, Hamish kept the process straight forward.

Rather than us hunting to pick up the van, Hamish picked us up from the hotel and completed handover quickly but with everything well explained. We can not understand why anyone using these types of vans would stay in caravan parks, being off grid meant we had plenty of options of places to stay (the rankers app is fantastic). The van is totally set up for freedom camping, there was nothing more that we would have wanted for the 2 weeks. We travelled in a 6 birth as a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 older teens, the van gave up enough space to really enjoy the trip. We found the large van simple to drive and easy to park. We've recommended Travel NZ already to our friends and will contact Hamish in a heartbeat if we need a van for the South Island again
