Most expensive site in 7 weeks touring the country.
Very good facilities and clearly well running and popular. $28 for a rooftop tent for 1 night was rediculous I though but end of a long day..... if you're self contained & don't need much for the night just drive a few ks north and there's a great spot on the shore just past the bird spotting/sanctuary - much better in my humble opinion.

Delightful spot only maybe 15mins from Blenheim.
Big space but lots of good little corners to tuck into. Decent toilets & not too many sandflies or mossies. Pretty quiet too.

Super friendly & helpful lady at reception.
VG site with all amenities in good, clean condition. Good shade but a long wait in the am if you need the sun to dry out. Easy walk into village for supplies. Small & not too busy (mid Feb.). Happily visit again.

Excellent little spot, very well looked after and pretty much spotless.
Worth the drive away from the crowds & Inland Kaikoura Rd is a pleasure itself. One of the best of the 20 camps stayed in on this tour!

Outstanding!
BIG space on a number of different levels with heaps of little hide-away corners. Great bush views & flushing toilet! One of the best DOC sites. Last few ks drive in are "interesting" and probably not for big Van's or caravans? Don't stop at the first little site - drive the extra k to on of the best spots ever. Bugs weren't bad either.

Brilliant spot if you want quiet & simple.
Many good spots to tuck into or hide away. Pleasant little stream running by too. DOC ranger is onto it so make sure you've paid! Only downside is the beast of a drive into the inlet and back out.Big bus or big campers might think twice - very steep & windy road although it is sealed.

Good spot if bloody cold at night down in the valley.
Slightly confusing finding who/where to check in but friendly relaxed staff. Good value and a good warm kitchen nearby. I'd go back.

Good spot, just off the road but pleasantly quiet.
Simple but good facilities in a great location for sunsets & sunrise. Good showers & laundry. Look out for the over friendly chickens 😀

Great spot.
Good value & cabin was fresh, clean and well set out. Small fridge & microwave all virtually new. Good laundry & kitchen. Close to shops & main road but very quiet.

For a DOC site this excellent.
Delightful setting (apart from the logging trucks rolling by now & then). Hot water, fridge, cooking facilities, hot shower & fab forest walk next door. Best DOC site I have been to.

Super setting, great view and very quiet.
A lot of messy construction at present but that will only improve the area when done. $10 for the night for my rooftop tent! Good value. Friendly & helpful in the shop. I'd come back.

Outstanding setting/location.
Good value for being so near the Cape. Long drop is what it is but bring your bug spray if you need to go at night! Mossies are fierce. Can be very busy in peak season!!!

0nly a 9 because they're basically out of water and that's not their fault.
Great spot, and FREE! Friendly, helpful owners. Little road noise from time to time but otherwise super. Great views. Get in early (before 5) to get the best spots.

Very good in an old school sort of way.
Good clean facilities and some extraordinary home made batch living. Friendly & good value. Can be very windy but a number of well sheltered spots. Great food at the Tavern across the road.

Great spot.
Good shelter from NW or W weather if you get in early and tuck in on the left. Bit of hike to find the loo but maybe that's just me. Sun takes a long time to come up over the hills if need to dry out after a wet night.
