Beautiful spot with great amenities.
Close walk into town for a little night life and amazing food. Travelling In a campervan and only stayed one night, price at $20/person for non powered was a little steep, but don’t regret spending it!

Self contained campervans only!
Great spot with spectacular beach!! No really leave spots to park, but nicely sheltered from the wind. Space for 6, the signs are on both sides of the parking lot opposite the washrooms. Residents in the area are pretty strict about the camping rules (don’t park even partially outside the signs!) but a great spot to walk the beach!

DO NOT SKIP THIS SPOT!
A must stay in campground if you are going through the area. Manager (Lanze) is a great person and did everything he could to accommodate the needs of everyone in the campground. Did the night hike that was offered and gained so much knowledge of history and Maori custom. Beautiful location and stunning environment!
Best spot I have ever stayed in.

Good for Self Contained and Non-Self Contained campervans (no tenting).
Large open parking lot right on the side of the beach. There are no signs to park between like most other spots, but if you read the sign at the entrance it shows the whole gravel lot is open. Washrooms are open all night, no lights in them so use a headlamp, also very basic/not high end!
Overall great spot, and easy to get to!

Good for self contained and non-self contained campervans!
Busy beach on the weekend, but empties out by early evening. Spectacular views of sunset, and safe beach to swim!
Super flat spot to park and camp, right at edge of beach. 10min drive into Tutukaka for diving and snorkelling!
