good camp spot.

4 flushing toilets that are well maintained as well as water supply and sinks for washing up. quite a bit of space however did seem to fill up a lot at night (december) however very few longer stay campers except those mining for gold. If looking to stay there longer than one night suggest getting there around the middle of the day to find a better site. Nearer the entrance does lose the sun sooner.

No cell reception at this site, however you can walk up the pack track and get reception up there (30mins walk) or just drive up to stafford cemetery or approx 7 mins towards kumara.

As with all NZ campsites there are mosquitos & sandflies however we found them not as bad as at other campsites, so we found them very tolerable.
