My experience with Epic Campers has been top notch from beginning to end.
It was really easy to make the booking and Andy was super helpful offering advice when asked.
Sylvie was lovely to drive in all conditions, rain or sun, state highways or twisty mountain roads. The bed was really comfortable and I enjoyed being able to make a cup tea and sit outside the van in a camping chair. I didn’t use the gas stove for cooking as I was staying in campsites with facilities.
All in all, a brilliant experience. Thank you Andy!
Thanks for the lovely review Dee! Awesome to hear you had such a good time. Andy

My first experience of a camp site in NZ.
The facilities are dated but clean. The sites are a bit crowded together but staff are friendly and helpful. The beach cafe is lovely where I ate breakfast. Great views but I had a camper van parked in front!
There are plenty of shops close by including a Countdown supermarket.

A lovely walk from Whakapapa Village.
I took the clockwise route and even though it was high season (27th Dec) I only met 3 other people on the way. There were more people at the falls themselves who had taken the anti clockwise route.
The walk takes in lots of different landscapes and the falls themselves are spectacular. It is possible to walk behind the falls if you wish to. It took around 1.5 hours. Definitely worth doing!
