Amazing site!
By far our favourite freedom camping site. Beautiful spot right next to the beach with caves to explore. 3 areas with parking meant for 3 campers but leniency for more campers at times! It wasn’t full when we were there but the ranger came by to say hi and said at times it gets full with over 10 campers in a spot!
Clean flush toilets and private cold showers minutes walk away. A camping spot you just shouldn’t miss experiencing!

One of our favourite stops in our 5 weeks of travelling around New Zealand!
The warm welcome with some homemade muffins, the chance to wonder around the farm and feed the animals, and the walk to see the glow worms and the waterfall were all great!
Good facilities including the toilets, showers, large kitchen/ communal area and the ability to dump waste and fill up with fresh drinking water.
Well worth the $40 for a powered site for two people.
