Amazing campsite next to a beautiful beach, perfect for a morning walk.
Clean flush toilets and even drink water supply. There are only very few spots available (especially for non-selfcontained cars) so come there early. They actually control if you parked in the marked area...some people woke up to a 200$ fine on their windscreens

It's directly at the beach, clean long drop toilets and water supply.
Don't park on the grass after lots of rain, it can get very muddy. No service at all and a long gravel road to the campsite but it's worth the view.

Car park from the racecourse, practical but not beautiful.
The bathrooms and flush toilets are clean and big. There's no shower, so 15$pn are a bit expensive.

Amazing location at an old train station, directly next to the highway (not loud at all).
Plenty of space for campers and cars. Very clean and modern toilets, free wifi from the library. Picnic area and sinks for doing the dishes.

Big campsite right next to a beautiful lake, close to Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki.
Long drop toilets but no water supply, there are public toilets with water supply only 5min by car.

Really nice caretaker, access to kitchen with water boiler and tv lounge.
The bathroom was new and had hot showers. There's a lot of space and you can park anywhere you want to. There are New Zealand people who live there, it's nice to have a chat with them.
