Great experience.
Great facilities. Excellent staff. We booked several excurisions and the staff helped with all of them, going way above and beyond. Great bus access into town.

Soooooooo Awesome.
I remember seeing this historic birthplace of bungy back home when I was in High Scool. It was so awesome to come full circle and do it myself! Get the full photo and DVD package, most such package are trash but this package is prof done and captures some AWESOME mid-jump shots that will have you reliving it all over again!

We hadn't even planned a visit, it was just a port in a storm (literally).
I was blown away! I would allow at least two half days. Doing it all at once is possible but would be overwhelming. Because it was storming we didn't get to do the outdoor parts, but from the display they looked as impressive as the indoor parts.

Memorable experience!
Nine out of Ten only because the check-in process could be improved upon, but once we were checked in, the people, the equipment, and the experience were wonderful. The helicopter portion was shorter than I was hoping but the scenary was just fantastic! The actual hike guide was awesome, even though his mixed Chinese Kiwi accent was a hoot! Very knowledgable, and led us all on a great adveture through the ice!

What a gem of a find.
Let's face it Fairlie is not a major destination, but I think most places HIGHLY under estimate the selling power of Free Internet. That pulled us into the gate and the excellent facilities were icing on the cake!
Yup FREE internet! And it was a high download rate, and that was with other campers I spoke with using it as heavily as we did. In a country where hotspot Internet access is way overpriced FREE was fantastic. Now if a campground would just offer free cloths wash and dry, they would have folks lined up!

Entrance looked great, then they route you back to an open field.
Only half the sites have a concret pad and the others are just mudholes, so as a result nobody honors their actual site assignment. We booked ahead and still had to be reassigned twice because there was no support staff to get people into their assigned sites.
Then as everyone else notes the pay showers are just lame! I'm sure because of their such close proximity to town it is to keep ski bums from using their facilities but there has to be a better way!
If you just want a super close park near the city, and don't care about much else then you can't beat the location.
All and all Queenstown, while beautiful, is just too crowded with teens and young adults, and that was the office season, so no telling what it's like during on season.

Best experiance EVAR!
I was very lucky to be in a small group, but they are completely geared to handle larger groups as well. I was amazed. We literally started off with a piece of steel, a couple bits of brass, a piece of wood, and a few brass rivets; and came away with a HUGE knife. Steve the owner operator can be a bit of a cantankerous character at times so if you're put off by such folks it might not be as fun for you, but the man knows his stuff and they have the whole process down to a science! Of my many wonderful experiences in NZ this is the most memorable!
