A well organized adrenaline filled day out!
All of the canyoning gear is included as well as snacks and lunch. After a watertaxi ride we hiked up to the start of the canyon experience and then began 3.5 hours of sliding, jumping, abseiling and ziplining - amazing all around. Best practice safety procedures are in place and we felt well looked after all day.
Cheers to Abel Tasman Canyons!
Awesome! It sure was a great day out with an awesome bunch of people. Thanks!

Transportation with commentary from central Wellington out to Western and Eastern suburbs seemed like a great way to see more sights beyond center city, and also to learn about the sights and city at the
same time. Our first driver, Bruce, was great. He was informative, organized and genuinely interested in showing people around his city.
Our second driver didn't say a word, and mentioned one stop as we drove by hoping no one wanted to get out of the van. When he dropped us off at another stop there was no direction about pick up point, and we were informed later that he provided us with the wrong pick up time, so we had to walk back into the city. We gave the trip a 3rd try the following day, and were happy to see Bruce back behind the wheel. He again gave good advice about how to rejoin the tour after enjoying a particular stop, and also provided commentary along the way.

We took the Groovy Day Out tour, and had a delightful afternoon wine, liqueur and beer tasting.
Marion was our guide and the words passion, fun and enthusiastic could not be a better description! She knows her stuff. We visited Richmond Plains to sample organic wines, had a fairly extensive and informative wine tasting at Seifrieds followed by time for a sit down lunch. Afterwards we visited Redwood cellars and were free to sample any of the fruit wines, ciders and liqueurs on offer. The tour ended at a local brewery where we sampled many of the local brews including a few seasonal and festive tastes. Bay Tours offers other wine and sightseeing tours, and I would not hesitate to recommend them if you are looking for a fun and informative experience in the Nelson region.
