June 2018: Great unpowered site with a view of lake and mountains.
Showers were unlimited hot and close to site. Staff was super friendly and helped book tours and coordinate courtesy shuttle to restaurants. This experience led us to book another holiday park, highly recommend.

June 2018: A true blessing since Desert Road was closed and was detoured northwest of Lake Taupo.
It was raining and made for a longer night. Not much petrol options until reached Taupo as many of the towns shutdown after dinner. Speaking of dinner, the campsite welcomes all and requests a meal is enjoyed in their tavern in return. The tavern is not open on Mondays, but still welcomed to camp. Bathrooms were nice on the left side and open 24 hours.

June 2018: Was concerned due to previous comments but thought we would give it a try.
Rolled in after midnight, no noise, and only one unisex 24 hour toilet open. Had to park between the two signs. Signs all over about it being a freedom camp and not to wash dishes and to bin rubbish, starting to think people have ruined the freedom camping opportunities. Once the I-site opened a little before 9 was able to purchase a shower token and receive the hot water code. The 24 hr toilet and shower was clean. Might stay here after traveling to the north trip and back.
