Magnificent spot, right on the water, very private.
We were the only ones here. Mountains by starlight were astonishing. Simple toilet but that’s fine. Gravel road in is high quality and fine for any kind of vehicle. Plenty of turning space.

Yes it’s crowded, but you’re 100 meters from central Queenstown and all the restaurants, so park your van and go have fun.
Nice hot showers, friendly reception.

Beautiful spot, but road too muddy for large campervans in May.
We got in but left early and were nervous we’d never leave again if it rained. No mobile reception. Beautiful hotel ruins tho. Will return when drier season or in a 4x4.

Had to request to change spot as smell from the kitchens was terrible.
But staff were very accommodating. Had a nice view and great showers.

Magnificent spot, beautiful views, but toilets inexplicably locked when we visited.

Massive site, hundreds of berths.
Fine for powering up for the night but not much else. Dryer will eat your money faster than a slot machine.

Brilliant.
Had a lovely dinner at the historic pub and parked right opposite, next to the water with a lovely view.

Busy even on the coldest nights of may, but stunning setting surrounded by massive mountains, and the trek is splendid.

Beautiful quiet spot at night, although gets busy with kayakers and tourists early in the morning.
Some stunning photo opportunities on the lake.
