A 15 minute walk to the Jolly Rodger restaurant and bar for great meals.

we thought this was an expensive campsite.
no lights for the BBQ as they seem to be in the process of upgrading. All other facilities seemed ok and it was a quiet campsite.

Nice facilities with clean, hot, but pay as you go showers.
Right on a really nice walking beach.

Would give this park a 10 but no cutlery, pans, washing up equipment.
We were in amongst the locals but this has to be the quitest park we have been in.
Would highly recommend it and would stay again.

Clean campsite and toilet block with hot showers. Bus stop outside direct to the city.
Would recommend this park for anyone starting or finishing in Christchurch.

Stayed two nights here.
Found the owners friendly and we booked a great wine tour through them.
The facilities are starting to get a bit tired but were clean and plenty of hot water in the showers.
Our only complaint was the noise from the main road bridge and train bridge that goes through the park, not much they can do about this.

This is a really hard place to review.
Great location with a short walk up the hill to a bus that goes straight into the city.
The spots are ok but you are really close to your neighbours and there are two toilets that are clean but you are sharing them with about 90 people.
The biggest negative is that being free and popular it attracts people that don't seem to care about others around them. was spoilt by two groups that were loud and kept everyone awake until 2am.

Good facilities, three toilet blocks but only one shower block.
A bit expensive but a great beach to walk on with all the islands just of the coast. Good walk to Cathedral Cove.

Great site right on the beach.
Good clean facilities. 20 minute walk in to the city with shops and restaurants.
Only small gripe was that they put everyone right next door to each other even though the park was empty, asked at the desk and they let us move down to the other end of the park by ourselves.
Liked it here so much we stayed an extra night.

Great freedom site with clean flushing toilets and lots of parking either on the waters edge or in amongst the bushes on grass.
But the best bit was the fish & chip shop, grocery store and pub under 10 minutes walk down the road.
Would definitely stay here again.

Only a one hour drive from the airport.
The best and newest facilities that we stayed at. Amazing surf beach with black sand.
We will definitely make this our first or last camp next time we visit.
