Not so easy to drive with a huge mobilhome.

Very busy and crowded even in off season.
But a good spot to go to the Hukafalls in the early morning.

Kind lady at the reception.
Facilities good. Air hockey and tv room seemed abandoned.

Perfect place for freedom camping: beautiful views, some grassed area, toilets, dump station.
Maybe a bit busy. But that's ok regarding the closeness to Auckland.

Expensive, as all the holiday parks in my opinion (at least for a self contained mobilhome).
But good facilities, nice views, practical (and funny) dump station and free WiFi.

Idyllic green place with toilets and good views.
We arrived early and could stay in the designated area. But a lot of people arrived later and stayed off the designated area - without consequences as far as I know.

We arrived very late and didn't even leave or mobilhome. Lucky that we had our own toilet as the one of the site looked already dirty.

Would be quite expensive but wet used it with a doc campsite pass.
Very nice spot! Showers didn't work maybe because we were in off season.

We were in off season and it was really calm.
Quite expensive however. Seems as if there are not so many toilets (in main season). We were stressed by a lot of chickens. They picked the bread of our plates and our baby's hand.

One of the best places we stayed in NZ.
We could stay for free. Power would have cost 15 dollars for our camper. Grassed area. And the restaurant is perfect: fire place, billiard, best burgers and really cheap!

Kind of strange site.
Only permanent campers and there was only one person on the whole site when we passed there in April. However, good facilities.

Lots of space.
Price was fair for our self contained as we just wanted to use the power. Not so much to do outside the campsite but good for one night.

We used it with a doc campsite pass.
Would be a bit expensive otherwise.
