Interesting establishment but expensive in the extreme for what is on offer.
I agree with an eralier comment that the Canterbury Museum is every bit as informative to what this place has on offer.
It's a tourist trap which as a New Zealander, I found embarrassing in the least

The replica model towns of both Reefton and Waiuta are a credit to their creators.
The attention to detail is beyond description. Unfortunately I didn't arrive until late in the afternoon. I could easily have spent several hours photographing everything.
I am intending another visit when next in the South Island.
