What an awesome walk - one of our highlights - make sure you go early - we hit the track at 7am (mid April) so saw the sun rising as we walked - it had snowed the night before so the last third of the
walk was on snow - took 2 hours to walk up - absolutely stunning from the top !! A real WOW moment ! - just make sure you are prepared for weather conditions - thermals gloves jacket and beanie and good running shoes food and water a must as the weather can change.

Hired a Mad Camper.
Great experience. No power, just battery charged so powered site not required. Bit chilly and dark to use the extendable kitchen from the rear of the vehicle but summer would be awesome. Came with duvet and pillows but we took sleeping bags too - wise decision as it got pretty cold down in Wanaka and Queenstown. Great size, easy to park and drive - blended in without sticking out as a campervan which we liked.
Cheers Hamish - stoked you guys had an awesome experience! Thanks so much for the feedback, we really appreciate it. Coming into winter we are now including complimentary hot water bottles and extra duvets in the vans to make sure everyone is nice and cosy. We hope you'll come back and experience a kiwi summer with us one day!
