Great view from the campground at the top of the river banks, beautiful walks and views of the bridges and gorge close by, very clean amenities, best hot shower we have had in NZ.

Top spot with incredible views of the lake and up to Mt Cook, so many options for your own secluded site and lakefront bay.
Very close to the fish bowl at the end of the Tekapo canal if your into fishing.

Excellent campground right on the lake with beautiful views at one of NZ’s most stunning places, great hike up to Sawyer Burn Hut if you’re feeling energetic for an incredible hike with breathtaking views
over Lake Hawea & the close by mountains - hike took us just over 4 hrs return from the campground.

Beautiful lake and views across to the snow covered mountains, clean flushing toilet, plenty of room for lots of campers although mostly on a slight slope.

Large area beside the lake, plenty of spaces and wind breaks planted to hide behind.
Which was needed when we were there due to the weather not being so great.
Toilets clean and as described, though we were in self-contained van so didn’t matter so much.
We only stopped here as an easy/close location after flying into Christchurch and collecting van that afternoon. Suited what we needed for a night stop-over perfectly.
Can imagine would be quite nice in good weather.
