Lots of lake flies attracted to light and heat so annoying to go outside but they're harmless.
Other than that decent facilities. Didn't use all they had to offer, though.
Yes, lake flies are a problem in Rotorua if your premises are near the lake. As you pointed out the flies do not bite. Hopefully, you can stay with us again to enjoy our hangi oven, hot water beach etc.

For 3 adults we paid $70 but we got a spot by the harbor so the view was great and the facilities were excellent.
Walkable to the blue penguin colony.
Thank you , we are lucky to have such a great spot close to the harbour, playground and town all within walking distance

Difficult process to get in.
Have to stay on hold a couple of times.
Toilet is okay. (Don't expect much.) There's a public shower in the park which is a ways away but other than that it was nice.

Very pleasant place with clean facilities. Showers were a little finicky with the six-minute timer.

If you can go, do it. There are often cancellations so you might be able to go last-minute.

Good spot.
Officially only fits three. Right by the bay so if you keep windows open might get a bit of noise. Public toilet nearby wasn't that great.

Was very windy and a bit rainy when we went and couldn't see Mt.
Cook but it was still a great and fun 3-hour track.
