Beautifully located, secluded campground, nicely integrated into the natural features.
We found all facilities to be in good and clean condition. The grassy, mainly level sites with spacious dimensions offer a good camping feeling, some feature a picknick bench.
A short walk to the sand beach with great views of the coast with its offshore islands and breaking waves, inviting to relax, take a bath (watch the current!), read, dream or make new friends (we shared the 5 km of beach with approximately 10 other people, 200 gulls and 25 oystercatchers); or a little longer walk to the bay, which, dependent on the tide, may be empty and provide for more views of the versatile local fauna. Some areas of the pine forest is closed because somebody poisoned the pine trees in support of the fauna that grew here prior, hence large branches may fall suddenly and unexpectedly. Interesting concept of conservation...
The keepers seem to take good care of the place, are super friendly and serve the best coffee of the world (or so), when the reception is open.
And one last recommendation: there is no fuel station within 20 km. Don’t arrive on reserve unless you like this sort of kick. We made it on the second to last drop...
