We tried to find a hostel on our route and this one had the highest rating at TripAdvisor, Google and Camping NZ.

Unfortunately our expectations were definitely not fulfilled. The living complex is very old as well as the facilities and the kitchen which are separated from the rooms. There are also many spiders and crickets in the facilities. We had no access to the WiFi in our room. Even though the owners are nice, we wouldn't recommend to stay there.
