Great way to see a Cultural show & experience a geothermal area.
The Pohutsu Geyser was so active the day we went due to the recent rainful.
This venue is also the place of the Mauri school of carving & weaving. The tour guide was extremely knowledgable and friendly.
From the reviews it sounds as though this place has been confused with the location of the Lady Knox Geyser where at 10.15am each the geyser erupts due to the soap being added.
Te Puia is the location of the Pohutu Geyser which goes off normal 1-2 per hour, but on rainy days it more active.
We also used the discount voucher available in many of the tourist programs which brought the price down to under $100 for the 2 of us.

Lost World is a 100m abseil into beautiful cave.
Majestic views. I think the fitness required needs to be advertised better as the 30m ladder which needs to be climbed is hard if you have poor strength. But overall loved the experience.

Beautiful - the trees are so huge.
You can walk, mountain bike or ride your horse in this area. But many people we spoke didn't know about the fact that the trees are now a memorial to forestry workers who served in the War.

Beautiful trip out to the Hole in the Rock.
The water was so calm the day we went out but no dolphins. We were given a return for free voucher which does not expire in the hope that we will return & try to see the dolphins again.

Great walk on a clear day with views of Mt Tongario, Mt Ngaruhoe and Mt Ruapehu.
Our day was clear enough that we could see Mt Taranaki in the distance.
The Lakes are a beautiful blue colour. Make sure you take warm & wet weather clothes as it is gets cold quickly.
The Taranki Falls are beautiful. We were told that if you stare into the rushing falls for 30 seconds and then look to the rock on the right hand side something happens called the "Taranki effect". It is cool - works with all waterfalls. A Whakapapa Village Holiday Park staff member told us about it.

Beautiful walk.
I think it talks a little longer than the signs say. Each of the side trips are worth it. Beautiful beaches & bays.
A bit disappointed that you couldn't walk under the cove but it is to keep us safe.
The waterfall at the far end of the beach is a beautiful spot to cool off & have a drink if you forget to take one (which we did). There are also toilets with a view!
Great walk & beauitful spot.

This is my favourite walk/track in all of NZ.
You get a river crossing with swing bridge, beautiful forest, waterfall and an amazing glacier at the end.
The walk to not too hard if you are used to walking, but the road in is terrible!
