I had recently stayed in Rotorua's Holdens campsite for $17 pppn.

But fancied a change of scenery. I have always liked Tirau so thought that I would find a campsite nearby. The facilities are shabby, no marked sites just a field. The height of my disappointment was the shower, which runs hot and cold depending on who else is using the water supply in the kitchen. All this for $25 pppn in Low season.
