Very large and busy site, drive to the far side to find more space.
Just a short drive from Queenstown and a good spot to watch sun rise. Well managed and landscaped, although could probably to with more permanent toilets. £13pp

Nice, busy, site next to the lake, good facilities for a DOC conservation campsite (shelter, washing up sink, toilets).
However a huge no. of mosquitos at the time of our stay keep it's rating down.

Huge site but still felt crowded and bit grubby.
Only one toilet block leading to queues, but to be fair it was clean. Not great for a paid campsite.

You get what you pay for with this site.
Great proximity to central Queenstown (just an 8 min walk), and a good range of clean facilities (bathrooms, kitchen, BBQ). Not cheap at $65 for a 2 person non-power site, but a very good walking distance option.

Beautiful, quiet spot.
Parked up literally next to the waters edge. Saw NO mozzies or flies. Lots of space and a simple drop toilet. There is a bumpy gravel road to access but still manageable in a camper. Best free campsite we stayed in!
