Stayed two nights in this campsite towards the end of January.
No crowds and it was pretty quiet. The huge number of caravans permanently based here gives more a Trailer than Holiday-Park vibe. We stayed two nights in a spacious Kitchen Cabin, furnished with linen, a refrigerator, cupboards and cooking elements. That stale stench of cigarettes lingering in the air wasn't mentioned in any of the brochures and has been built up over many years. It isn't going to go away without a major overhaul of the room. Pretty gross!!!
If ever back in this part of the country, will be looking elsewhere for somewhere to stay.
Hi Andrew, thanks so much for giving us this valuable feedback. Smoking in rooms was prohibited some time ago but sometimes people ignore the rules. That said, we will certainly be looking into the situation.

Lovely campsite, clean, well-maintained facilities and situated right beside a stunning beach.
The pool was a nice alternative when not in the mood for a trip thru the dunes. Internet connection was free and the speed impressive!!!
All three kids had a blast, making friends with others their age and hanging out late into the evenings.
We arrived on the Friday of a long weekend. The place was jam-packed and had a great atmosphere. The fridges were also jam-packed - which is the only negative I can rustle up... more fridge space would have been nice :-) Lots of families headed home after the weekend which solved our fridge problem, but sadly, left the kids without their new friends.... We still had Rummikub to occupy our evenings and had a great stay over the remaining days!!!
Glad we were able to find an available spot here and hope to return.

Left yesterday, having stayed for just under two weeks (including an extension on our initial booking).
Very nice place, great atmosphere, and a safe space for our kids to roam about unsupervised. The beach is long, pretty quiet, has golden sands and water that’s just the right temperature for cooling off on a hot day. Very hard to find anything to grumble about here - though I would like to suggest that they consider upgrading the shower heads as the water coming out of most seems to go sideways rather than down. Perhaps by the time we return next year. ;-)
