Least favourite holiday park, we arrived when raining and our non powered site was right at back of a long grass field (needs cutting) the only way to walk to it was through muddy grass which was horrible
.
The toilets and showers were clean but really cold, quite far from town so had to get taxis.
Wi-Fi was good though.

I nearly didn't stay here based on reviews but was pleasantly surprised, the toilets and showers were not unisex and I found them to be mostly clean and not too busy.
The kitchen was not big enough as there were a lot of people using them.
The pitch we were on was high up on the site and you walked down a stony walkway, no way you could go to toilets in middle of night as it was dangerous and pitch black so this was a pain.
Check where your site is before buying Wi-Fi as you can only get signal from reception to main kitchen nothing past that point.
Bonus is the hot pools next door which were a nice was to spend an evening.

This was my favourite of 8 campsites in the South Island.
Clean, decent pitch good showers and large kitchen, we hired bikes from reception and did laundry which we could hang to dry on washing lines, there was even a shuttle to stop you off in town, the walk back was more like 35 minutes not the 25 we were told.
The town is excellent and has great bars and restaurants so would highly recommend visiting them.
Thanks Claire,
I will make sure the girls are more specific with the walking times to and from town.
We hope to see you another time!
