A dream holiday park!
By far the cleanest toilet and shower facilities we have seen. Hot water, laundry with sinks for handwashing, clotheslines, kitchen, tv lounge, picnic area, and a playground for kids. We really enjoyed our night here. Watch out for the Wild Weka!

Unbelievable views.
A must-visit campsite for all! On windy evenings this place is a wind tunnel. Place your tents carefully.

Overpriced for what is offered.
There are too many people packed into a small space, all sharing the same toilets, which really smelled bad when we were there. It's a shame because the location is great and I like the farm feeling.

If you're driving from Picton, don't drive along the winding road from the north.
It takes forever! Instead, drive first to Blenheim and approach the campsite from the south.
A pretty spot, but not ideal if it's raining.

The campsite is directly on a perfect beach.
There's a real hippie feel to this place. Only $5 per person.

This campground is perfect!
There is so much space and the setting us idyllic. This spot is right beside the river, with a man-made swimming hole. There are also some awesome walks nearby. Basic facilities. Ample privacy.
We paid $13 per person. Just make sure to stop at the caretakers cabin to pay before driving to the campsite so you don't have to go back.

Only $10 per night for an unpowered site- what a bargain!
The spots are assigned which means you have heaps of space and privacy. The facilities are really clean and the caretaker is super friendly. The beach is incredible. We saw dolphins! DO NOT SWIM! There is a killer riptide.

One of our favourite camp sites in New Zealand.
The town is picture perfect and the beach is a dream. Only $10 for two people is well worth a stop here.

$52 for two adults for an unpowered spot.
The campground is very busy in the summer, as is the beach. The campground is basically just a big open field. The shower and toilet facilities are shared amongst the entire holiday park but they are clean.
Hi Alyson
Thank you for your review.
We cater for all guests from fully self contained accommodation to specified powered and non powered sites. The Outback camping is on an open field and is only used for camping when we run out of specified spaces or we are booked up or guests ask to go to that area. We have 2 kitchens and 22 showers around the park.
Kind Regards
Lynette

Cute little spot next to the river.
Very peaceful and quiet. Two long drop toilets. Watch out for sandflies.

The best kitchen I've seen at any backpackers.
They have every possible piece of cooking equipment and it is spotless. The hot showers are free and wonderful. Very clean toilets. TV lounge with DVDs and games. Swimming pool. Pigs! Overall a great place to stay. $17 per person for an unpowered site.
