We spent 2 lovely nights in this small camping.
Sure the showers and kitchen are tiny and somewhat vintage, but well featured. And above all the location is ideal, no noise other than birds in the neighbouring wood and the perfect place to enjoy sunset on the beach just 100m below the camp. Highly recommended by good weather.

Lake Middleton Campsite

We spent one great night in that site, enjoying swimming in the lake and wild birds while a strong wind was sweeping Ohau lake.
Just take care of the sandflies at dusk.

The van is fully corresponding to our expectations, and is well maintained.
The only bad point : we waited almost 1 hour for the van to be ready when picking it up at Christchurch, though we paid an extra 40$ for late arrival.
