My husband and I did this together.
It was his first bungy jump and my third. He absolutely loved it, he couldn't believe the height of the jump and how much adrenaline he got out of it. We managed to do the whole thing in about 2 hours, as we snuck onto an earlier bus back to Queenstown after jumping. I also loved the jump, but after three jumps the novelty begins to wear off. I definitely want to do the Nevis Arc though.

I had the most awesome flight with Gavin.
It started out nice and gentle and then we did some crazy turns but the whole time it felt really safe and I knew that we could stop and go back to gentle whenever I wanted. The photos and video of my flight were awesome and a great way for me to re-live the experience.

This was my first skydive ever, and it was incredible.
Flying up to altitude in the tiny plane against the backdrop of the enormous mountains was the best experience. I jumped with Bigfoot, and he made me feel really safe, secure and helped me get over my fears.
The view on the flight up to the jump height is incredible. I wasn't really scared because there was soo much beautiful scenery to look at. But when my tandem master started to tighten up and double check my harness my nerves began to flutter... When the door opened at 15,000ft my heart leapt into my throat. I was the second person out of the plane, I watched the first guy just leap out and sink like a stone and my nerves went into hyper-drive. Sitting on the edge of the planes doorway and waiting for Bigfoot to throw us out of the plane was pretty scary but as soon as we went, that feeling of flying, the quiet and the adrenaline all kicked in and I had the most awesome time.
My video and photos show me as incredibly nervous pre-flight but with the hugest grin on my face throughout the freefall. I am so pleased I got the video, as now I can relive my jump and the beautiful scenery of Glenorchy.
NZSkydive out in Glenorchy is a small operation, but it was lovely the way that all the staff were really friendly and made an effort to get to know all the clients. The treatment from the staff, and the jump itself really made my day. I was buzzing for about a week... If you are in Queenstown and want to skydive, NZSkydive is definately the place to do it, even the drive out to the dropzone is breathtaking (the road follows Lake Wakatipu out to Glenorchy and the scenery is stunning).

I love this building.
The War Memorial and the Scars on the Heart exhibition always give me chills. Walking through this exhibition really gives you an insight into the lives of the New Zealanders who went to the first and second world wars. The letters home and the interviews with soldiers lend an incredibly authentic atmosphere to the exhibition.
On a lighter note the exhibition of childhood toys in New Zealand is an absolute favourite of my fathers. I spent close to an hour in there with him, whilst he ran around looking at all the old toys and reminiscing about his childhood.
I also love the childrens area - where they have small animals and lots of hands on activities for the kids to play with.
This is a museum that I cannot get enough of. I love coming here as there is always something new to learn and experience.

We got the 'Just Married' van.
This provided much hilarity during our drive, and scored us many toots, and cheap deals for activities when we pretended to be honeymooning...
The van drove well, and was great for what we paid - it had worked out cheaper than a rental car. We never slept in it and probably would have gone insane if it was the only accommodation we had, as we had some awful weather... Being cooped up in a van that small would have been pretty average. But it definitely got us from A to B, and we had an excellent trip in it.

I love Auckland Zoo.
I love the layout of the safari lands where there are numerous animals living together. They seem to have so much space.
I loved the lions and the Tigers, and the Seal enclosure is awesome. The elephants are gorgeous, and my cousin absolutely loved feeding the Giraffes - even though she got a very big fright at how close and large the Giraffe was.. The interactive feedings and shows make for an awesome experience.
A great family day out.

This was an incredible experience.
Firstly Jet-boating up the Dart river, then inflating our funyaks... then jumping aboard with a friend and beginning to paddle back down the river...
The lunch from the Glenorchy Cafe (GYC) was incredible. It was filling, tasty and perfect. The coffee was hot and just what we needed on a rather chilly day.
Being able to take our cameras up to that beautiful part of the country and paddle around and have fun was really awesome. The only negative was the friend I was with seemed to have difficulty paddling (but she is not really the most coordinated person), but when we put her in the bow (the front) I was able to control us better. We only fell out once, and that just added to the adventure.
A great day out, and well worth it.
