Stayed here after the Otago Rail Trail.
Very large basic campsite with limited facilities. Staff not welcoming. Overpriced. No kitchen utensils. Shower coin operated $2. Tent sites flat but with small stones, tree roots and very hard ground. Limited views. Shop and bar close by. Noisy and busy.

Lovely grassy area near the sea.
Sheltered from the wind behind some trees. Water tap seemed broken? Toilets clean. Great place for a swim and near to the Fortrose cliffs.

Large camping area.
Strange that a powered site is $25 for 2, whereas a tent site is $30. Owner not very friendly or helpful. Showers $2. Kitchen with fridge/freezer and oven.
