Middle-of-the-road camp ground.
Location is great as it's close to Wellington and seems to be the only place near there that allows dogs. The toilet facilities and kitchen area up the top is quite dated and a bit rundown. However if you camp down the bottom it's a lot newer. There are a number of permanent residents, we camped next to a house with some in who were noisy for New Year (to be expected) but otherwise no trouble.

What a beautiful secluded place to stay.
We were travelling with dogs (not lap dogs either!) so found it hard to find a place that was suitable for them. This was the place. Right beside a river with a big field for them to run in, they had a great time. The only thing I would change is to allow bookings.
