Pricy and overrated.
Badly maintained (signs and pathway). Other thermal areas, such as Orakei Korako are better value and have much more interest.

A busy, popular site.
Sometimes noisy. Popular with young families. Reasonable facilities. Very handy for local beaches and trips into Abel Tasman Park.

This walk took us about 4 hours return and in parts was quite strenous.
However the amazing views/scenery made it very worthwhile.
