It's hard to get to (especially with a big van) but SO worth it.
The beach is beautiful and the place is huge, only a few people mid December. Only cold showers but clean. Not many sandflies. Didn't want to leave!

Very clean showers and kitchen in new block, although had to queue in the morning.
Powered sites were not assigned at reception and the place is a bit of a maze to find a spot. Bay is lovely, saw many dolphins.

Great green space right at the magnificent beach of Piha.
The best playground at camping itself. Showers fine and generous time given included. And very friendly staff too!

A beautiful spot, very popular and not that big so everyone is side by side.
Gorgeous sunset. Toilets stank so your eyes hurt by evening after a sunny day.

This place has it all!
Really nice individual sites for campervans in the greenery, great hot showers, lots of space in kitchen. Many short walk options from close by to see Mount Doom. :) One of our favourite places.
