I'm no cyclist but walked the short section between Little River and Caton's Bay.
on a hot day, taking care to defer to cyclists, who seemed pleasantly suprised by my courtesy. It is a delightful walk full of wild flowers, shady trees including English Oak and a bird watching heaven. I wish I'd had more time, but it was my last hours in NZ. A lovely area that I'd like to revisit and explore more.

Excellent value trip by Father + Son team: friendly, knowledgeable, mind blowing scenery (think film ''Deliverance") exciting walk section - started as 4 hour trip but we had 6 hours total.
Everyone should do this - kayaking back also option.

Lovely 2.5 hour walk.
More scenic than the waterfall walks that we also did. We did it in the rain + it was still good. When the bugs stopped singing we knew we were in for another heavy shower.

Overpriced - even though we did get to see the whale at the 11th hour + 55th minute.
Vessel (although purpose built) not well designed or a good ride. Had better experiences in a fishing boat at Iona in Scotland!

Some lovely views, as exciting (or terrifying) swing bridge high over a river.
Enough forest cover to keep you cool on a hot day and a water taxi to take you home. What more could you want?

Did 2 short walks here and it was just the prettiest part of New Zealand in my opinion.
(Helen) safe swimming spot - although we didn't try. Water so clear could watch little shag diving clearly.

We hit a quiet period so were able to make the most of our guide.
Very knowledgeable - we asked lots of questions and he could answer them all. When we switched the machinery on it was so loud even with ear defenders, one wondered how people in the past could manage the work.
