Good kitchen with a few hobs and ovens.
Eating area inside and out. BBQs to hire. Washing & drying room, although seemed to get very busy! Lovely warm showers (free) and toilet room with hairdryers. Perhaps a tad on the pricey side and the staff were rather grumpy.

One of our favourite campsites!
Amazing views over the snow topped mountains. Toilets ok and shelter for cooking if required. Also picnic benches with great views.

Incredible spot overlooking the lake with Mount Cook in the distance.
Hold on to your food as it does get windy! Fairly easy access to the lake for a dip too. No toilets on site but there are some for the morning a 2min drive down the road to the info/salmon site.

Beautiful spot, right on the lakeside.
Lots of families visiting the lake in the day and enjoying bbqs in the evening. Lots of space for campers. Clean flushing toilets a little stroll from camping area. Make sure you park on the near side of the gate (See sign on gate).

Good calf burner from the get go but worth it for the views from the top.
Took us 2hr up at a steady pace - but don’t go in the midday heat. Car park gets busy and you have to park on the roadside from midday. Take plenty of water - saw far too many fools suffering after having finished their 500ml bottle half way up!

85% scramble, 15% tramp.
Very steep all the way up but totally worth it for the views from the top. 6-8h is generous if you’re going at any sort of pace. Recommend the store at the bottom for generous scoops of well deserved ice cream ($3 2 scoops, $5 for 4!)

Lovely peaceful camping spot run by Vicky and Frank.
Clean and newly painted hot showers/flushing toilets. Make sure you take a wander up the road to check out the house names!
