Big campsite with nice facilities, big clean kitchen, very well equipped.
Nice showers and toilets. Good laundry facilities. BUT very noisy with families/children so don’t stay for a quiet night ( or ask to be further from facilities block). Although the park does have a very nice hot pool that was quiet in the evening, but I think you can pay to get into the hot pools behind the campsite too.

Great spot loads of space, although our local friends warned us not to park on the right side (furthest from water) if it is going to rain because it floods that side!
Fine If dry weather. Drop Loo is little walk, but good. Quiet camp, plenty of room.

Loads of space and right on the lake, good toilet block.
BUT very busy and noisy with boats, jet skis etc. So depends if you mind that, even on a Sunday morning!

Great little campground, very friendly and helpful lady on reception, also got us a discounted boat trip for the next day, booked for us, tickets printed there and then!
Facilities were lovely and clean and fairly modern (although didn’t use the laundry), allowed us to park in spare space while we did the boat trip next day. Only tiny thing would be to have the showers for free.

Space for 4-5 campers in designated bays, perfect next to beach and a quiet park.
Toilets and cold showers in the block next to the parking. Very nice to walk in beach in eve and morning.

Lovely place, lots of space and the lady who was managing it while we were there was very nice and helpful.
Perfect for doing the walks nearby! Quite pricey for DOC so would be nice to have a toilet block rather than just a couple of long drops.

Perfect location, good to get away from it all.
We got there about 4pm, and seemed to be the first, pick your own spot. Pay in an envelope. Kitchen showers and toilets good, but no WiFi, as the info states. :) owner popped his head into the kitchen later to say hi to everyone.

Perfect little spot to free camp, room for 4-6 in the designated area.
As the review before says- the location is around the corner, in a field, just follow signs. Toilet facilities a short walk.

Lovely people on reception, nice quiet campsite with everything you need.
The nearby airport is not busy so just had a couple small planes in the late afternoon and that was it. Another place that plays the radio in the bathrooms - nice I think, less creepy when you are the only one in there! Would stay again :)

Nice location and pitches, but that is about it.
We were told the wrong price over the phone, so not a good start when we turned up. Everything else was just a bit of a pain - nice clean kitchen but NOTHING out, you have to go ask reception for everything - ridiculous! Unless you are a Top10 member you got no WiFi. Also be aware some networks will have no signal here either! Showers etc all nice and clean, did spot a vehicle wash area on way out too. They just need to ease up on some silly policies.

Really nice relaxed feel to the place, very surfer village, good facilities.
Nice to have radio in the showers! Hot unlimited showers. Great kitchen, few BBQs. Only problem was the WiFi was awful, just couldn’t keep connected unless hovered by reception.
