Nice site, well placed for visits up the Otago Peninsula, especially recommend penguin watching if it’s the right season!
Camp itself was a bit dated and kitchens could do with a freshen up. WiFi was hit and miss across the site as with all of Nz. Beware the kitchen shuts at 9 if you arrive late. Good size tent sites but if it was busy you may find yourself on a bit of a slope!

Nice enough spot as a stopover for Tongariro Crossing.
Free 1gb of internet but trying to connect was hit and miss. Showers, kitchen and lounge were all quite small and needed updating.

Unlimited WiFi was a god send!
Nice tent sites and good showers as toilets, didn’t use the kitchen but the rest of the site was well maintained would stay here again.

Probably the best shower I’ve had in the whole of NZ.
Nice little tent sites with hedges in between for some privacy. Free hour of WiFi was nice and kitchen facilities were good to. Just out of Invercargill and no road noise was nice to!

Highlight of the stay was the beach walk to see the local sea lions!
The little kitchen was small but functional and free outdoor bbqs were nice. Free 200mb of WiFi per night was handy to. the only shame was the showers I understand being on tank water means they need to be short but would’ve been nice if it was warm too!
Not quite sure what went on with the shower temperature but they are gas operated so heat shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for understanding about the rain water it makes us very eco concuss. Glad you enjoyed our beach front back yard

Overall was a great campsite, brand new showers and toilets were amazing like a hotel.
Laundry and kitchen facilities were great to although you had to pay to use utensils. Some of the tent pitches were a tad small but we asked to use a powered site so we could park our car next to our tent and they obliged! $55 a night is steep for a tent but expensive just like the rest of Queenstown.

Great place right on the beach just before you get to Kaikoura.
Nice showers after an 8 hour drive from Picton although having to press a button outside the shower to get it to start was a bit odd. Receptionist was brilliant when we got lost and almost got stuck on sh1!

Nice little campsite for an overnight stop.
WiFi in the lounge only not across the site. The facilities were quite small for the number of sites they had and the showers definitely favoured smaller people. nice little beach behind the site however looking across the lake.
Thank you for visiting Possum Lodge. Safe travels.

One of the best lakeside views I’ve seen at a campsite, with big open tent sites, cost of which has gone up to $40 for unpowered.
Reasonably sized kitchen with most utensils and showers were clean and tidy and 30 mins free WiFi. Be ready for some flies lakeside other than a great campsite just out of Wanaka.
