Friendly spot, if a little tight in the water view area.
Facilities are spacious and the water hot. Asked for campers to conserve water due to dry conditions. There is an interesting restaurant at the point but only open Wednesday to Sunday so we missed it. Wifi costs $5 so we gave it a miss.
Good value at $15 per person.
A quick drive in the morning to the Moreaki Boulders to beat the crowds.

Pleasant large motor camp in the city centre.
All sorts of accommodations available. We arrived early December and spaces were available. Lovely lounge and kitchen facilities.
A good stop after coming off the Routeburn Great Walk.

What a find right next to the city!
Our powered spot is adjacent to the stream and interesting walking trails. Bird calls abound. Facilities are spacious and clean if not brand new. Walk around the neighbourhood and admire the older small homes, in various states of repair. Easy bus into the heart of the city or a 30-45 minute walk.

Give this place a chance, especially if it is not crowded.
Yes, people appear to live here in various contraptions but it is a real place full of character. The showers are free with lots of hot water. The pub across the street has good food and beer.
Get a waterfront site and watch the kite surfers and the awesome sun set skies. $25 per person - close to Queenstown - we like the ambience here.

Great spot to end our first day on the Otago Central Rail Trail cycle.
Shuttled one of our party back to get the camper. Big site, big sky, friendly staff and other campers. Showers are $2 for six minutes- clean and spacious facilities. Easy walk into town. Looks like there are small sleeping cabin for hire too.

Yes, it is a large place but very functional.
Staff are friendly and told us about getting a day pass for the bus $9.50 and where the bus stop was. East to get in and out of Wellington. Would have stayed closer into town but my App for the site went on the fritz on my computer. We were therefore glad to find this place.

Brilliant spot.
Cozy parking for our campervan with a picnic table. Fresh, crisp air right in the mountains. Used their shuttle service to do the alpine crossing. Only a few machines for laundry but you just have to wait your turn. Very friendly staff. Stayed two nights.

Spacious sites with picnic table.
Lovely sun set. Toilets are fine - and you get in half price to the adjoining hot pools. Since we were seniors that only cost us $6. A good spot to stage a post rush hour drive through Auckland.

Amazing to have free site right in the town!
It's a parking lot, but there is a thermal pond with a waterfall right next to it. Toilets are a few blocks away - we found them open until we went to sleep but they were locked when we got up. Seems like they open at 8am.

Close to a secondary road but no noise at night.
Good toilets which are well used. We were the only campervan parked for the night. A good location for transiting through.

Campervans park on a gravel lot, adequate space.
Only two toilets - both contain showers - but there always seemed to be one free! Easy walk into the lovely town.
