Great place and awesome staff!
You can see and learn about the white kiwi living there but also so much more. The staff will teach you about Tuatara, Kokako, Kaka etc at scheduled hours every day.

Build you own hot pools on the beach Was much less popular that the hot beach in Coromandel and we enjoyed the beach on our own.

Nice place to see many effects that the geothermal activity has on the landscape.
Maybe a little expensive for a self guided walk but you can grab some information from the flyer. The staff presenting Lady Knox Geyser is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Had the pleasure of meeting Sparky, the nationally known one legged Kiwi.
Also got to learn about the various other bird species the centre takes care of. Well worth the visit.
