Spent a night there on a powered site.
Parking spaces are a bit weird which you might be close to other campervans and its on grass. Kitchen and dining area are spacious. Shower and toilets are clean. It was a great stay.

Great location but you have to be there early to get a spot.
It’s just a few minutes away from the town and there’s toilet nearby. Great view of Lake Taupo too.

We had to stop by Haast for a night as it was getting late.
We paid $40 for a powered site and another $6 for WiFi of 300mb for 2 devices. There was totally no signal in that area. And we had no choice but to buy some instant food from their shop as the whole town has no shop open at that time. (It was only 8pm). Kitchen and lounge are spacious and clean. There are cooking utensils available to use as well. You also have to pay 50cents for 7 minutes of hot water.

The grass was so soft that we got stuck in the mud when trying to looking for a spot.
Luckily the locals helped us to push our campervan. It was really sweet of them for helping us out. In the end we parked on a rocky spot.

Expensive site compared to the others that I’ve been.
Paid $49 for two persons with a campervan for powered site. Kitchen was kind of small with a small lounge. Toilet and shower was not very bad but limited.

Excellent spot but there’s only 6 spaces so you have to be there early.
It’s just next to the parking area for cathedral cove recreational reserve. Cathedral cove is a must and it takes 2hrs return walk with some elevation. It’s also near to Hot water beach.

Gravel car park at the back of a restaurant.
Nothing much but it’s free.
Hi Stacey,
Thanks for taking the time out to review us. And yes, it's just a carpark we offer next to nature and off the beaten track for free. There are paid sites in the village that offer the full amenities if needed.

Stayed for a night before going to Glenorchy the next morning.
Not a very big area and not so flat. It’s close to the road so might be a little noisy if you are light sleeper. Didn’t get to see any waterfalls as mentioned in the previous reviews. We saw another road going down so it could be that way but we parked at the top as there’s another campervan parking there.

We paid $44 for 2 person for a powered site.
Overall it was good. Location wise is near to the city. The grass was a bit lumpy for the spot to park though. Limited shower room as there’s only one shared shower room and one toilet in a block only. There’s another block for female only. Didn’t get to use their kitchen so can’t comment on it. Free 200mb wifi included per device. Conclusion, a good choice if you don’t want to park too far from the city.
Great comments thanks Stacey.
The small block in summer is normally unisex( 2x toilets, 2x showers & 3 basins) but over last winter we renovated the main ladies block and used the smaller unisex block as the ladies to renovate the main block . Hopefully next winter will be the men's turn!
Thanks

Stayed for a night.
15 minute drive to Queenstown. It’s quite spacious so don’t have to worry it’s full. It’s just beside Lake Hayes so you can enjoy the beautiful view in the morning or have your breakfast beside it. Some of the spots are grumpy so you might need some time to look for a flat good spot. There’re geese and ducks around too.

Toilet and kitchen are clean. It’s very near to Countdown supermarket. You have your own fenced area to park on a paved land which is spacious enough.
