It may not (currently) look like the poshest place but it is really comfortable and nice.
Close to town, a 25 minute stroll to the marina the location is brilliant. The live-ins are friendly and pleasant, the bathrooms are immaculate (some of the cleanest have seen) and the showers have been updated so now have the traditional booth with a door. The managers are lovely. Ignore any previous poor reviews things have changed!!

Incredibly chilled spot that is gorgeous.
3 vans here - we are big but not a problem, two smaller vans here with us - could be difficult if 3 large vans. Last space taken at about 6.30 pm on a Sunday. Park well used by dog walkers earlier and families having picnics and swimming. Bins and recycling bins. Lois the best we have experienced - impressively clean.

OK, there are actually two sites here, the one off Bright Street gives you awesome sea views, you are right above the surf, but no loos.
If you turn off Bright Street onto Blackett Street (follow signs for Cobden breakwater) then onto Nelson Quay you end up at the shiny new site, immaculate loos, a surfers exterior shower, lots of space and looking over the sea. A fabulous beachside retreat in the heart of town.

Park just in the little car park, by the slipway.
Loo ok, basic but flush! Pub across the road friendly and helpful. Only one train overnight and the road is pretty quiet. Excellent spot if you want to head in to Dunedin or travel the peninsula, plus you get to wake up looking at the sail boats.
