Excellent camping spot - quite sheltered from the passing cyclone.
Hot showers too! Pleasant camping in the bush with minimal sandflies and a few cheeky Weka. Check out the glow worms!

Great wee spot not far from Hamner Springs and a good swimming hole in the Hurunui River, 5 minutes walk from campground.
Fire pits for when there's not a fire ban, too.
Bring your own loo paper as there's none to be had here. Also, if you're not a fan of raid noise, drive further into the camping area. Lots of shade and very few insects.

Lush, green campsite right beside the river.
Long weekend and still plenty of room. Brand new toilet block - better than my one at home!
Great spot for kids to be wild - rope swings and 'jungle' to fuel the imagination.

What a gem.
Peaceful, plenty of room (mid October) and only two mosquitoes (I squashed them both so you should be right for your visit).
Loads of birdlife and snow-capped mountain views.
Would recommend bringing a tap key if you want water.
Nearby famers market in Lincoln (Saturday morning) worth a visit to stock upon supplies.
Choice.
