I honestly can't see how this is a Top 10.
We stayed at plenty of them in our trip and I've got to say it fell a long way short of what I can see as a top 10 standard. There really isn't a lot of options in Invercargill though unfortunately. I'd suggest a good playground would be a great start. The price was more than the Hanmer Springs Top 10 with much less to offer. It actually made me wonder how low the bar goes for qualifying.

Pretty decent camp in the off season.
I would hate to be there in summer though. Wasn't cheap at $60 including two kids and paying for showers just rubs salt into the wounds. The playground needs work however, especially for the money.

We kind of found this on a whim and glad we did.
The facilities are old but the shower was probably the best pressure and temperature I had in 4 weeks. The kids loved the rabbits, guinea pigs, lambs, kids, chickens, peacocks, ponies, pigs and donkeys. I also enjoyed helping rustle up a few sheep that " needed work " The owners have only been there 18 months but doing a great job. Good on you guys, it was a highlight.

Worst prison camp, I mean camper park we stayed in.
We booked for 3 nights but after 5 minutes we realised it was a hole but the wouldn't refund us.
It's probably fine if you don't mind a car park with no soul , however we moved down the road to creeksyde which is similar distance from town but a flat walk.
Having to remember a code to get into the toilets when you are half asleep is a complete pain in the butt.
Don't bother.

Worst dump station I experienced in our 4 week holiday, just poorly done. Kids liked the playground. Facilities were clean.

Magic spot.
There's heaps of spots that I could see. We found a really isolated spot past the pumping station. It was almost cyclonic winds when we were there so finding shelter can be important. Definitely worth it though.

I really liked this place from the moment I drove in.
Super friendly owners and good sites. I loved all the messages in the kitchen on the walls and roof etc.
find a spot and leave your mark. Kids loved the playground and all the bunnies hopping around.

Not a bad campsite although a bit expensive.
( with kids in tow) it cost us $60 per night and still had to pay for showers. The playground needs work but the kids loved the animals. The owners were really nice.

It was reasonably good and can't complain.
The playground needs an overhaul as it's pretty lame. Communal amenities weren't popular ( especially with the ladies). Handy for the round hill ski area.

Excellent family friendly campsite.
We stayed there on two separate occasions in one holiday. Not the cheapest but good facilities and good entertainment for the kids.

We loved this place, lots of quirky features with gave it character....Staff are really friendly .
The dump stations are the best designed I came in contact with. The only thing I can criticise is the fact there isn't a playground.

Looks really dodgy from the street but not too bad when in.
The over complicated showers were unnecessary and just annoying to be honest. The prices were wrong on rankers for kids but they honoured it anyway. Nothing special about it but cheaper than the nothing special Top 10 .

Excellent site with superbly manacured grounds.
Facilities are excellent and immaculate. I accidentally left my phone in the coffee shop and they happily forwarded it on to me down the line ( which I really appreciate thank you) The owners are so friendly and I can't recommend this place enough. If you can go without power I suggest you do without as the powered sites are ordinary.

We loved this place so much we didn't want to leave.
When we went, the new owners had only been there 2 weeks. Grant and Deb were great. Facilities are great and super handy for a beach walk. Watch out for the crocodiles though. The showers are a pain but they are on tank water so it's understandable. They have heaps of DVDs to borrow at no charge ( but please be honest). I can't wait to get back there one day.

Super friendly owners, free wifi.
Dated facilities but still good. Was good value at $36 a night as they didn't charge for the kids (was off season). Had an issue with one of the other guests who thought she owned the joint but that's not something related to the site.
