Your ticket price helps the program and you do get to see various kiwis.
We were lucky enough to see a new hatched kiwi and a couple of the young ones. They also have a few adult Kiwis to see, they give you a nice amount of time with them.

We were expecting amazing thermal pools with geysers and stunning colours.
This was not it. If you are interested in the history of the village then you might enjoy it but we found it to be a very eerie place where people were still living, it felt like we were intruding and there wasn't many thermal wonders to see. Very expensive for what it is. There is a place on route to Lake Taupo that is better.

Very good quality campervan.
We had the premium 2 birth which was great. Really easy to drive, looked after and economical. During the booking process they answered emails quickly and nothing was too much trouble. Met by the owner in Auckland who was very friendly.

We did the half day walk but there was a lot of climbing.
Very tiring day but a great experience. You can only get onto the glacier by doing a guided trip, very busy with many tours going on. The guides are very good and you feel safe.

If you get a sea view camper spot you wont want to leave.
Hahei beach is beautiful. There are kayak trips and a few bars/restaurants a short walk away. Close to Hot Water Beach. Wifi available near reception and very friendly.

Amazing fun in the most spectacular location.
Friendly, knowledgable guides and very organised, even the lunch was unexpectedly tasty and filling. I highly recommend this trip and would say its one of the best things I have ever done!

Lovely setting and views during both our day and evening trips to the hot water pools.
Due to the time of year was very quiet so don't know how nice it would be when high season.

Bit pricey, most expensive campervan site we came across but had the most facilities.
The heated outdoor pool was the highlight and well looked after.
Thanks for your comments, be sure to visit again once our new Swim up pool bar has been completed!

Location location location.
You cannot beat the views from this campervan site. It would be 10 but the toilet/showers were a bit tired and cold as the windows were always open! Good space, get there early for the best spot as it is the only park in the area and will get busy in the afternoon. Is within a minutes walk to the Alpine Spa pools!

Definitely do this if you have a clear sky as the view is amazing.
It will most probably be windy and cold so be prepared! There are usually a lot of people on the trip so it wasn't particularly personal but you can ask questions etc. Could have been a bit longer and the bus ride was a little scary in the dark but overall a great experience. Would recommend going to the Astro cafe during the day.

Quite expensive but on a clear day the view is stunning.
I was a little nervous of the Gondola but it is worth it at the top, the luge is also lots of fun.

Great fun and view, doesn't get 10 as it was a little pricey.
Warning best to pay for multiple luges with the gondola package as once you have had a go you will want another one!

Due to the location and modern facilities this was a great stay.
It is not a countryside retreat and the campers are close together but you are at the foot of the Gondola and short walk downhill to the centre of town. The toilet/shower blocks were very new. Good wifi signal.

Best setting in Franz Josef, set in beautiful trees and next to the mountains.
No wifi which was a bit disappointing but had access in the reception. Helpful staff, facilities under renovation but found the current showers great. It has its own bar which is friendly short walk to the spa or town. Eat at the Blue Ice Cafe, worth every penny!

We didn't know anything about it before deciding to visit, we were not so sure when there was no car park for it and the signs limited.
We were pleasantly surprised, the zoo was very well kept with a large variety of animals to see including Kiwis. Worth a visit.
